A little about me

Care starts with feeling heard.

My path into psychiatric care began with a simple observation: people were coming into healthcare with mental health concerns, but too often those concerns were not being fully addressed. During my time in family medicine, I noticed how frequently patients needed someone to slow down, listen, and help them find the right next step.

That experience shaped the kind of provider I wanted to become. I wanted my patients to feel seen, heard, and supported not rushed through an appointment or reduced to a diagnosis.

Today, I work with adults navigating concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, and sleep difficulties. My goal is to build a treatment plan with you that is realistic, understandable, and connected to the life you actually want to live.

Mental health is not something that exists separately from the rest of your life. Your routines, relationships, responsibilities, physical health, and environment can all shape how you feel. Getting to know the whole person helps create care that is more thoughtful and more useful.

I believe that treatment should be a collaborative process. My role is to bring clinical knowledge, experience, and guidance to the conversation while making sure your goals and perspective remain central to the care we build together.

My approach

We work on your care together.

I believe good psychiatric care starts with a genuine relationship. You should have the space to ask questions, talk openly about what you are experiencing, and understand why a particular treatment approach is being recommended.

Medication management can be an important part of treatment, but it is not the only part. Depending on your needs, care may also include education, practical coping strategies, mindfulness, routines, and other tools that can help you manage challenges in everyday life.

My goal is not simply to treat a list of symptoms. It is to help you understand what is happening, identify realistic next steps, and build stability over time.

I also believe that progress does not have to mean perfection. Mental healthcare is often a process of learning, adjusting, and continuing forward. We can take that process one step at a time.
